An unnamed fugitive flees to an abandoned island. He lives alone there until one day a group strangers visit the island. They return daily and the fugitive begins to strange repetitious behaviour in the group.

I'm not saying any more about it, because there's a brilliant plot twist, but I will say that this little book is extraordinary on many levels. The writing is simple yet complex, the slow burrning story keeps you completely hooked and you'll get different things out of it each time you read it.

One of my favourite books.
